Sharing Links is a community, and we want to know a little bit about you. Tell us by updating your Profile. You will find your profile, by logging in, and going to the My Bookmarks page. Scroll down and look in the lower right corner for “Profile.” Click on it to update your name, add a URL and description, and upload a photo. You can also change your password or email address here.
Adding new bookmarks to SharingLinks while you are surfing is as easy as clicking your mouse.
But before you can use this one-click method, you need to drag one of our bookmarklets to your browser toolbar. But that’s easy too, and I’m going to show you how.
To find the bookmarklets, go to “Add a Bookmark” and scroll down about mid-page to “Bookmarklets.” There are two bookmarklets: one will open SharingLinks in a pop-up window and the other will open SharingLinks in your current window. I like the pop-one better, and I bet you will too. But you can always add both, and try them yourself.
To install a bookmarklet, simply drag (keeping the mouse button depressed) the bookmarklet to the Bookmark Toolbar at top of your browser. You will know you are in the correct place when you see the cursur turn into this little arrow and box thingy.
That’s it!
Now, I will show you how easy it is to use.
Let’s say you at CNN.com, and decide this is a site that needs to be bookmarked. Simply Click the “Post to Sharing Links” link we just installed, then write a description, add a few tags, and click “Add Bookmark.:
Here’s an important tip. You can make bookmarking easier by being choosing “Don’t ask for my password for 2 weeks” when you login. This will prevent you from having to re-enter your password while bookmarking and surfing.
Login to your Sharing Links account, and then while on your My Bookmarks page, scroll down, and in the right-hand column (below the Popular Tags, and the ads) you’ll see links to your Profile, Tags, and Contacts.
Click on Profile, where you will be able to enter your full name, a site URL, and a description. It is here that you can also change your password or your email address.
