We got the message loud and clear that tagging imported bookmarks is a daunting task, so we now have two tools to make tagging easier.

The first tool gives new users the ability to tag bookmarks as they are imported. You can see this on the import bookmarks page.

The second tool is one I named the Tagging Buddy. What do you think of the name? The Tagging Buddy is a special search page that allows you to tag groups of bookmarks all at once:

For example, you might search for the word “fractions” and then add the tags “math, fractions, grades 3-5″ to each of the search results with a single click.

Later this week I will add a video demonstration of the new Tagging Buddy feature. Meanwhile, give it a try and let me know what you think.

I am toying with the idea of doing a webinar tour of SharingLinks to show off some of its features, and also show you step-by-step how to start using it.

A webinar is a combination teleconference and web seminar … so you would hear me via the telephone, and also see my demo on your computer in real-time. We would go through submitted questions, and probably also be able to handle questions live. The best part is that it can all be recorded so others can watch at a later time.

Our community already has quite a few stars, active members who are sharing and tagging dozens of sites for the benefit of our entire Sharing Links community.
